In today’s news, Japan provides humanitarian support to Zimbabwe, more than 80% of global coral reefs impacted in “unprecedented” mass bleaching event, United States-based institution receives funds to support Jain-inspired educational projects, Denmark and Germany to be connected by undersea tunnel, community residents in Michigan, USA, help bookstore move thousands of books, Spain passes law that schools must offer vegan meals, and two dog-folk from Canada inducted into pet-people’s hall of fame.

It’s coming to summer in my region and this means a change in the garden. Today I would like to share a neat tip for fast-growing summer vegetables. Some leafy greens and root vegetables take two months or less to harvest from the time of sowing seeds. Arugula, often incorporated in salads and sandwiches, is one crop that can be ready to harvest within 20-30 days. Additionally, it’s a cut-and-grow-again crop, meaning you can enjoy several harvests from the same plant. Beets can be grown in limited spaces and their small, tender roots are usually ready in 6-8 weeks. Cucumbers take about two months to harvest with optimal conditions like abundant sunlight, warm weather, and frequent watering. Okra is simple to grow and can be harvested within two months. It flourishes in hot weather and with well-draining soil. Lettuce is also a great fast-growing vegetable because it has a short growth cycle and shallow root system.

The hilarity party tent is up, so we can join the joke of the day’s fun company. It’s called “Long-Distance Communication.”

An expert on whale-people was telling friends about some of the unusual findings he had made.

“For instance, some whale-persons can communicate at a distance of hundreds of kilometers.”

“What on Earth would one whale say to another hundreds of kilometers away?”

“I’m not absolutely sure, but it sounded something like ‘Can you still hear me?’”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Jules in Canada
