In today’s news, Saudi Arabia donates US$9 million to support Yemen Humanitarian Fund, worldwide power grids struggle amid global warming, international scientists develop efficient method to remove pesticides from water, UK nature conservation charity restores meadows in county in eastern England, man from Kansas, United States, who provides free lawn mowing, raises more than US$193,000 for cat-people shelter in Texas, Swedish vegan milk brand partners with popular eateries to launch new ice cream line in China, and new sea cucumber-people species discovered in the Gulf of Alaska.

Today I'd like to offer a handy gardening tip. Summer temperatures have been increasing each year and this has made it more difficult for gardeners to grow tomatoes. A shade cloth is an inexpensive tool that can be used to grow juicy tomatoes during a heatwave. Shade cloths with a shade percentage ranging from 40-50% are ideal because you don’t want to block out the sun completely. Please note that more air and light can pass through a cloth with a lower thread count. You can also utilize beach umbrellas. These are more opaque than shade cloth and therefore, you should use them sparingly like during the hottest time of the day. With these steps, you’ll find that you can still grow beautiful tomatoes even in hot weather!

The moment has come to bring some laughter into your day with the following joke, called “Tree Training.”

The teacher asked the third-grade class:

“What do we call the outer part of a tree?”

After a few moments of silence, Angelica yelled from the back of the room:

“We don’t know, miss!”

The teacher was shocked no one knew the answer and replied:

“Bark, my dear! Bark!”

“Woof, woof, woof!”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Zi-Yu in China
