There is a question that you’ll ask yourself, and this is my way of saying it. “If God could not come today, or whatever you hold to be Divine could not come today, and It sent you, in the life you just reviewed, what difference did you and God make?”
We begin today’s episode by exploring the fascinating NDEs of bestselling author, spiritual visionary, and end-of-life care advocate Dannion Brinkley. Throughout his life, Mr. Brinkley has had four near-death experiences.
The first occurred in 1975. At 25-years-old, Mr. Brinkley was at home speaking on a landline telephone when lightning struck the phone line, causing an electric bolt to hit him in the head, travel down his spine, and bind his shoes to the floor. He was then thrown into the air and crashed into his bed frame. Immediately, his soul floated upward, and he looked down at his physical body from above.
And I’m looking around and seeing that everything is vibrant. You would think that it (is) solid, but nothing is really solid. And everything has a certain resonance and a frequency, and I was looking at all of that, and somehow I knew this place. And then over my left shoulder, this spiraling tunnel. And I could feel myself being pulled down it. And now I move down this tunnel, and I come to this place of bright, brilliant, and beautiful Light. Everybody will have an inner knowing, Alex, that they’ve been there before. And that they know this place, there is no fear. And a lot of times, when people have fear at the end of life, someone that they trust and know comes to get them.
Mr. Brinkley was then shown a life review, during which every moment and encounter from his entire early life flashed before his eyes.
Once you escape this body, you have this opportunity to have what’s called a life review. And it’s where you see your entire life pass before you in a 360-degree panorama. You know everything that you have ever seen, and you watch it from a second-person point of view as though you were your own best friend. And then you literally become every person that you ever encounter, and you feel the direct results of your interaction between you and that person. Most of mine was experiencing pain and anguish and suffering and the brutality that the nature of my life had created. And some good things. One of the greatest lessons is to learn to forgive.
Mr. Brinkley notes that during his life review, he experienced many negative emotions due to his destructive and combative personality in his early life.
I had to be, oh God, the most ignorant, heathenous brute. So, I had to take a lot of punishment for my actions, but I am responsible, and nobody is going to get away with anything, and the universe is fair and just – end of story.
During his life review, Mr. Brinkley felt compelled to ask himself the Ultimate Question, which he believes we will all ask ourselves after we die.

In his NDE, Mr. Brinkley also discovered the profound sense of compassion that animal-people feel for humanity. He wrote the following quote in his New York Times bestselling book, “Saved by the Light: The True Story of a Man Who Died Twice and the Profound Revelations He Received.”
I had caught this dog chewing on our living room carpet and lost my temper. I had pulled my belt off and let him have it without trying a lesser form of discipline. Reliving this incident, I felt the dog’s love for me and could tell that he didn’t mean to do what he was doing. I felt his sorrow and pain. Later, as I thought about these experiences, I realized that people who beat animals or are cruel to them are going to know how those animals felt when they have a life review.
Mr. Brinkley makes us consider all the pain and suffering humanity inflicts on animal-people through various exploitative industries, including animal-person meat and milk factories, fashion, experimentation, entertainment, and more. Let us immediately turn away from these murderous and torturous practices and go vegan so we create greater peace within ourselves and toward all life on Earth.
Now, let’s discover the illuminating NDE of embroidery artist and former US Army Ranger Nuestro Ñanamoli.
On a summer day in North Carolina, United States, Nuestro was peacefully meditating while floating on the surface of a lake. He then swam over to his friends, who were sliding down a large blue waterslide. Wanting to try, Nuestro climbed the waterslide and slid headfirst, not realizing the water at the bottom was only two feet deep. As he hit the water, his head struck the bottom of the lake, and he immediately broke his neck. At the hospital, just as doctors began emergency surgery, Nuestro felt his spirit leave his body.
The next thing I remember is being fully out of my body and standing at a doorway. And it was a doorway floating in space. And in front of me, there were six beings of Light, and they were very tall, maybe 11 feet (3.35meter) tall. And these beings were incredibly wise, and we had finished some type of long conversation. And there was an agreement. The first part of the agreement was, you won’t remember anything that we’ve discussed. Because if you do remember, it will be so much that you’ll never stop talking about it. And the second part of the agreement was you have to do the work.
After the conversation ended, Nuestro’s spirit entered a tunnel and then reconnected with his physical body on Earth. The emergency surgery was successful, and one month later, the “work” the Divine beings had given to Nuestro began to manifest.
Even though I’m not an artist and I’m former military, I suddenly had the strong desire to sew, to embroider, a tiny rose with needle and thread. And after I finished the rose, then I did a little dog, then I did a tree and some flowers, a butterfly. And then I began to attach more pieces of fabric, and I continued to sew. And as I did this, I began to see some of the visions that these beings had shared with me.
As Nuestro continued creating his soul-inspired tapestries, he began to recall his past life and had a startling realization about reincarnation.
I recently went and traveled all the way to Sri Lanka, to an island in a small lagoon that I remember from my previous life. And the name of my monk self in this previous life was Ñanamoli, which is the name I’m using now. And in my previous life, I was also a former soldier from the UK, from Britain, who served in World War II. And in the middle of war, I read Buddhists texts, which inspired me to become a monk. And similarly, in this lifetime, when I was in Iraq, I read Buddhists texts that also inspired me to meditate and eventually begin the path to becoming a Buddhist monk. So in this lifetime, I returned to Sri Lanka. I went to the same small island called Polgasduwa, or Coconut Island, in Sinhalese.
I met with a Buddhist monk. He asked me, “What are you doing here?” I said, “Well, I’ve been sewing a tapestry. I can remember being a monk in a past life, and I remember being here on this island.” And then he said, “Well, I also remember being here in a past life, and I remember being your teacher.” And it was this very strange moment of recognizing multiple lifetimes and really understanding that we live a human life, and then we leave the body, and then sometimes we come back into another human life, or sometimes we become a spirit or an angel, or we transition into another form, but the current of energy, of the life, continues.
Through his NDE, Nuestro understood the importance of bringing more peace into our lives, which then permeates our surrounding world.
As we tune in, as we meditate, as we become peaceful, we will know exactly what we can do as our part to heal ourselves, to heal our family relationships and our friends, and to heal our small section of the garden and share that beauty, share that peace. As more and more of us awaken, as more and more of us realize that our main reason for existing in human form is to love and to spread love and to be peaceful, and that we’re here to learn lessons and to grow.

To bring more of this profound love into our lives, we are encouraged to seek God daily, sincerely repent for our wrongdoings, do good deeds for those around us, and show our true compassion to all beings through the vegan lifestyle. Through these simple actions, we have the power to create Heaven on Earth and to return to Heaven hereafter!
